Fashionista scanned the entire black issue of Italian Vogue (see parts one, two, three, four, & five). Gorgeous.

The Coveted has an inspired piece on round glasses. Also see more glasses inspiration over at Fly (last photo) & Debutante Vintage (on Debutante's owner Sandra--so cute!).

More Fashionista links: they say Maybelline's new The Colossal mascara ($7) works the same as Dior Show Blackout ($24) (although BellaSugar disagrees). They also pointed me to these candy-colored Moscot frames.

Fashion Feed Finds: 07/08/08

Professionally Trendy featured these Carl Bengtsson photos. They have a cinematic quality (I'm reminded most of The Piano); I particularly love the vintage trunks and the incorporation of menswear.

The owner of The Carrotbox has a blog filled with amazing rings.

Zara has some beautiful prints in their SS08 and Resort collections. I particularly like the blend of patterns in the left photo (even if the model looks like she's going to cut a bitch).

Fashion Feed Finds: 06/02/08

Time for another round:

Nitrolicious put up stills from the next GO International Private Label collection (out June 29th), and it's not bad. Some tank tops appear boxy and unflattering, and the floral prints look a bit tatty (especially compared to vintage offerings), but overall the colors/styles are cute and right for summer. I'm most curious about the blue ruffle dress (center), $29.99.

The Pattern Magic books feature gorgeous patterns distinguished by unusual architectural details. You can buy both volumes at YesAsia.com (in Japanese only, although reviewers say that's not a big obstacle). ::via Fashion Incubator, Designer's Library, & Sew Very Prairie

Tamar Levine shot a beautiful retro-inspired spread for Metro.pop, called "Let Them Eat Cake."

Fashion Feed Finds: 05/19/08

Time for another round:

I love this scarf with sleeves. My arms and shoulders are always colder than the rest of me, so this would be perfect.

The shirt's from an older Fred Perry collaboration (I believe with Comme des Garçons). Beautiful graphic and colors--too bad there's no buying info or female version.

Fashion Feed Finds: 05/06/08

Time for another round:

The Rogan for GO International preview is up, and...eh. From a design angle, it's a flop. Mostly basics with some tarty animal prints (the styling doesn't help--it's overkill to pair that mini with a braless tank & heels). The good news is the line's 100% organic, which means we'll get organic basics for Target prices.

Also up is the preview for alice + olivia's FW08 Payless line, and I love it. Shiny monster booties! I'd buy these just to wear them around the house and stand over my roommates (I am 5'4" and bitter). The price is nice, too.

Alas, I sort of love the helmet haircut, aka "the Moe." Not on my head, but I admire those that can pull it off. It's simple yet aggressive. I especially love Rinko Kikuchi (middle) in it; she has an impish approach to fashion that I find inspiringly brave (considering the Fug Girls and Ryan Seacrests of the world).

Finally, Trendinista has a lovely feature on the "drip" trend. My favorite find were these Anna ter Haar "dripping tar" sunglasses.

• Daddy Likey commenters discuss buying clothes from Asos.com (verdict: grim).

• Portfolio did two posts on fashion business, specifically how designers sell to U.S. department stores and how department store markdowns work. It's really eye-opening, valuable information even from a consumer's perspective; if you want to know more about fashion business, I also recommend The Fashion Designer Survival Guide, which packs a lot of info in concise and easy-to-read prose.

• An unbelievably detailed guide to dating vintage clothes by label (via Debutante Vintage).

• The Lanvin ad everyone's talking about.

• love forever recommends The Art of Embroidery.

• Ambika found examples of 1930s airbrushing (subjects include Bette Davis & Joan Crawford).
