Instant Miso-Cup: So convenient, healthy, and good, although you have to watch the sodium. My local Kroger only stocks this brand, but it's decent (although it looks more like red miso in real life). Whatever brand you buy, make sure the soup base comes in a paste, not a powder.
Jasper Fforde's The Big Over Easy: Critics say it's one of Fforde's weakest novels, and I still liked it. It's a spoof mash-up of film noir & fairy tales, with the central mystery being who caused Humpty Dumpty's great fall. The style & references occasionally feel overdone, but if you can look past that and if you enjoy cheeky lit humor, it's a great read. I also want to try his Thursday Next series, which is supposed to be better.
The library: Source of the above. The Atlanta library system has gone digital, to the point that you can reserve & renew everything online. I love it more than life itself.
Hellboy II: So much better than the first one, mostly because of the unbelievable sets and special effects. The plot's not great, but I was so distracted by the amusing characters ("I'm not a baby, I'm a tumor") and amazing special effects that it didn't matter. Oh, and I have I mentioned the special effects? Because they were amazing. It's not even that the effects were well-executed, although they were; it's the sheer imagination and wonder they invoked & provoked. I got flashes of Princess Mononoke, Star Wars, & of course Pan's Labyrinth.
Delta Spirit's Ode to Sunshine: This album came out of left field for me. It's a hodgepodge of folk, classic rock, and indie rock, making it nostalgic and the same time innovative. Below's the single "Trashcan."
