Fashion Feed Finds: 05/11/07, Part II
Another set of fashion feed finds:
- Preview shots of Vera Wang's line for Kohl's (far left image via WWD). See more images here and here.
- Devi Kroell for Target! The "Pochettes" above retail for $20.
- Kate Moss for Topshop, Barney's...sigh. Ignore the hype: the collection's over-priced and looks bad on normal people. I will say this for Topshop, however: they did a nice job with the opening. No brawls, no hair-pulling, and a 5-piece buying limit to thwart eBay profiteers. They even handed out refreshments to waiting customers--class.
As for blog coverage, Catwalk Queen covered it the best. Style Bubble also made a cool video of the opening, which shows just how long Kate Moss modelled in the store window.
- Another recent celeb fast fashion collection, Lily Allen for New Look (far right image via the Sunday Times), debuted with significantly less hype, and significantly better clothes.
- Iran is cracking down on "immodest dress," which includes eyeliner, short socks, and clothes that show the shape of your body. Related: The BBC has a short guide to Muslim headscarves (scroll down).
