Time for another round of fashion feed finds:
A) Four women wore the same Oscar de la Renta carpet to the White House Christmas party [Ed. note: YESSS!]. Even better, one of those women was the First Lady (far right). So, who wore it best? ::picture/story via Neatorama.
B) Cult documentary Grey Gardens has made a comeback this year, with the triumphant debut of a new Grey Gardens musical (featuring a legend-making performance by Christine Ebersole). The Criterion Collection has also released Grey Gardens on DVD
, as well as a new 91-minute sequel, The Beales of Grey Gardens
, which is made up of outtakes. Pop culture genius fourfour has a post on the new film, filled with subtitled screen grabs.
C) Madonna will help design another collection for H&M, despite poor sales for her first collaboration with the company.
D) The Telegraph has an interesting article on vintage clothing as an investment.::via The Bag Snob
E) Christie's recently auctioned off one of the three famous Givenchy dresses worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. The dress (excellent pictures here) sold for approximately $800,000; the proceeds will go to charity.
F) Finally, CRAFT blog has a great set of sewing machine recommendations.
